The Orthohealing Center was asked to present their most recent publication, Autologous Bone Marrow Concentrate: Review and Application of a Novel Intra-Articular Orthobiologic for Cartilage Disease, at the 2014 Orthopaedic Manufacturing & Technology Exposition and Conference (OMTEC) in Chicago last week. Assistant Research Coordinator, Hunter Vincent, represented the Orthohealing Center, and gave a poster presentation of the research to an extensive array of orthopedic manufacturing executives, orthopedic surgeons, and researchers. OMTEC attracted nearly 1000 attendees from around the world, representing the many phases of orthopedic manufacturing and emerging technology in the field. The presentation educated many leaders in the orthopedic industry on the potential applications of BMC as an intra-articular treatment of cartilage disease, as well as its potential applications in conjunction with various surgical procedures. The positive results of such BMC applications warrants further research and encourage further collaboration between surgeons and physicians specializing in Orthobiologics, such as the Orthohealing Center. The OMTEC presentation provided a very necessary step for increasing collaboration in the orthopedic field, and advancing the field of Orthobiologics. The Orthohealing Center is honored to be a part of such a monumental event, and help to further expand the field of Orthobiologics.
