Orthohealing Center’s Dr Steven Sampson Publishes new article on advanced knee osteoarthritis and new technique: Platelet Rich Plasma Intraosseous injections

May 15, 2019

Dr Steven Sampson collaborated with researchers from Vitoria Spain to publish literature on a new approach for advanced knee osteoarthritis. While Platelet rich plasma has been used for decades in orthopedics and sports medicine, research shows that it may be limited to reduce symptoms when knee arthritis is more advanced or severe. Thus Dr Sampson and colleagues from Spain are researching and collaborating on new techniques to deliver cells inside bone or “intraosseous.” More research into this technique will add to our understanding of arthritis and how it affects the bone beneath cartilage.
