The segment discusses Osteostrong a new facility in West Los Angeles which uses “Osteogenic loading” to potentially strengthen bones. Dr Sampson comments that there are many proven ways to strengthen bones including exercise with dancing, running & jumping. But these activities may add additional risks of injury so cutting edge technology aims to provide osteogenic loading without the risks for injury in a time efficient manner. Time will tell which biohacks are best. In the past Dr Sampson visited NASA Aimes Research Facility to demo the VASPER system, another biohacking technology used by professional athletes and special forces veterans. We expect to see more & more facilities offering biohacking tech & we need to review all evidence & scientific data to recommend which ones may benefit our patients.
