Xavier Nady Yankee Outfielder reportedly making progress with PRP Injection (Platelet Rich Plasma) for Ulnar Collateral Ligament Injury

June 24, 2009

Reportedly, Xavier Nady is progressing following PRP (Platelet Rich Plasma Therapy) for his torn Ulnar collateral ligament. He is trying to avoid season ending Tommmy John surgery.

According to the official New York Yankee’s website:

“There’s progress here,” Yankees manager Joe Girardi said. “You have to wait and see how he feels once the right arm gets involved. The time has passed where we feel that he’s safe to do it, and that’s a good thing.”
