Effectiveness of PRP Platelet Rich Plasma in treating osteoarthritis impacted by patient’s age

A recent study from the Stanford School of Medicine compared the efficacy of PRP, Platelet Rich Plasma in treating knee osteoarthritis between healthy young males (23-33 years old) and older males (62-85 years old). The results suggest that PRP from older patients contain factors that decrease effectiveness in protecting cartilage and increase inflammation.
