We were excited to welcome Dr Ameer Ibrahim, a leading sports medicine physician from Australia. Dr Ibrahim’s special interests lie in tendonopathy of the shoulder, knee and ankle. He has helped treat chronic tendon patients with Platelet-Rich Plasma (PRP). HE is also collecting data on Adipose (fat) derived cell therapy for knee osteoarthritis with promising
He has held posts with the Australian Socceroos, Olyroos and junior Australian soccer teams, was medical Director for the Parramatta Power Soccer Club for 5 seasons. He also covered the Gold medal game at the 2000 Sydney Olympics. He has held posts with the Australian Cricket Team 2011, Australian Socceroos and Olyroos. He is currently a FIFA sports medicine instructor for the Asian Football Confederation with involvement in the 2006 World Cup in Germany and 2010 World Cup in South Africa.
