Cytori Fat stem Cell Co to launch clinic in Bahamas for Heart Research… Receives large investment support . Cytori has proprietary equipment that allows a patient’s own fat (yes fat a rich reservoir of regenerative cells) to be washed and cleaned then re-injected into the body to stimulate repair. This treatment is currently not FDA approved for use in the US. Fat may hold promise for orthopedic injuries like osteoarthritis of the hip and knee. More research is needed to determine if these treatments are safe and effective but now we are seeing more clinics overseas providing this therapy.
