Orthohealing doctors Steven Sampson & Danielle Aufiero publish new study: Bone marrow concentrate (BMC) derived stem cell and platelet rich plasma (PRP) injection for osteoarthritis
Dr Aufiero and Dr Sampson are the main investigators of a study showing the beneficial effects of bone marrow derived stem cell injection followed by PRP for joint arthritis. It showed that a single ultrasound guided injection of BMC and PRP appears to be safe and provides short term benefits in patients with moderate to severe osteoarthritis. The patients reported significant pain reduction and indicated that they would repeat the procedure and recommend it to a friend.
