OMEGA-3 FATTY ACIDS Omega-3 fatty acids are considered an essential nutrient. They have been shown to decrease inflammation and may provide protection from chronic diseases such as cardiovascular disease, arthritis and cancer. They are also found in high concentrations in the brain and appear important for cognitive and behavioral function. Symptoms of omega 3 deficiency include fatigue, poor memory, dry skin, heart problems, mood swings or depression and poor circulation.
Omega-3 fatty acids are able to reduce inflammation by decreasing the production of proinflammatory agents by using up the enzyme that would otherwise make these agents. People who suffer from inflammatory and autoimmune disorders may benefit from therapeutic doses of omega-3 fatty acids and get relief from their symptoms. Therapeutic doses of omega-3 fatty acids have been shown to reduce morning stiffness and number of tender, swollen joints in patients with rheumatoid arthritis.

VITAMIN DVitamin D is a nutrient both necessary and beneficial for optimum health. Many people today do not have adequate levels of this nutrient in their bodies. In fact, vitamin D deficiency is now recognized as a pandemic with more than half the world’s population at risk. Vitamin D is made naturally by your skin after exposure to sunlight (specifically UV-B light). Though our body is capable of making enough vitamin D for health maintenance, many people due to lack of sun exposure, use of sunscreens for skin cancer prevention, or other reasons may not make enough and are deficient in this important nutrient. If your vitamin D levels are low you may be at increased risk for osteoporosis, osteoporosis-related fracture, degenerative muscle loss, muscle weakness and pain. Vitamin D deficiency is easily corrected through oral supplementation, however today’s recommended guidelines are outdated. Your Vitamin D levels can be checked with a simple blood test.

KAPREX
Kaprex is a clinically tested herbal dietary supplement derived from hops extract, rosemary extract and oleanolic acid. Research of the compounds found in Kaprex show that they inhibit a variety of molecules involved in the inflammatory pathway. Inflammation is thought to be at the foundation of diseases such as osteoarthritis and rheumatoid arthritis, and contributes to the pain associated with those and other conditions. Clinical trials show that Kaprex may be gentler on the GI tract compared to naproxen (a commonly used anti-inflammatory), has no significant effect on blood pressure, and no clinically relevant effects on kidney or liver function. Research has also determined that Kaprex can be as effective as anti-inflammatories for some patients in relieving their joint pain and should be considered a safe alternative for relief of minor pain from inflammation.
