About Autologous conditioned plasma (ACP)

ACP is a new treatment that offers patients pain relief with less short term inflammation traditionally seen with PRP. Generally less blood is required from the patient and as a result the concentration of platelets is approximately 200% above baseline opposed to more than 500% with PRP. The benefit is less down time following an injection. This treatment has anecdotally been used for injuries with elite professional athletes to accelerate return to play. Also in our practice is combined with viscosupplemenation for treatment of osteoarthritis.
