Diagnostic Testing
It may be necessary to order diagnostic testing if the patient has little to no improvement or if there are significant findings in the physical exam.
Diagnostic tests include:
- Electromyogram (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies:
- Diagnosing nerve injuries such as carpel tunnel syndrome, herniated discs and sciatica
- Ultrasound:
- Provides detail of tendon and ligament injuries
- Facilitation of prompt MRIs and X-rays
