Autologous Conditioned Plasma ACP
ACP is a new treatment that offers patients pain relief with less short term inflammation as compared to traditional PRP therapy. Generally less blood is required from the patient and as a result the concentration of platelets is approximately 200% above baseline opposed to more than 500% with PRP. The benefit is less down time following an injection. This treatment has anecdotally been used for injuries with elite professional athletes to accelerate return to play. Also in our practice is combined with viscosupplemenation for treatment of osteoarthritis.
