Diagnostics

In addition to comprehensive physical exams, the doctors at Orthohealing Center use the most advanced diagnostic tools and equipment available. We are one of the first clinics in Southern California to work with musculoskeletal ultrasound, which is now becoming a standard in sports medicine.

Diagnostic testing that may be ordered include the following:

Electromyogram (EMG) and Nerve Conduction Studies (NCS)

Diagnosing nerve injuries such as carpel tunnel syndrome and neuropathy. Evaluates status of nerves in herniated discs and sciatica.

Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Provides detailed pictures of tendon, muscle and ligament injuries. Dynamic ultrasound further allows the patient to move and reproduce symptoms while observing for pathology in real time under ultrasound.

Gait Analysis

Evaluates walking issues such as pronation, flat arches and differences in leg length.

Diagnostic Blocks

Pain injections under ultrasound or fluoroscopic guidance to confirm source of pain when all other diagnostics have returned inconclusive or when patients are not responding adequately to treatment.

Facilitation of prompt MRIs and X-rays
