Dr. Vishal Thakral, Orthohealing Center, lectures at the University of Health Sciences on Bone Marrow Concentrate, Platelet Rich Plasma and Musculoskeletal Ultrasound

Recently Dr. Vishal Thakral lectured at the University of Health Sciences – Los Angeles College of Chiropractic on cutting edge sports medicine and regenerative medicine techniques with musculoskeletal ultrasound. The audience consisted of chiropractic students, residents, and faculty specializing in radiology and sports medicine. Dr. Thakral’s presentation focused on how to utilize musculoskeletal ultrasound to employ innovative therapies such as platelet rich plasma and bone marrow cell injections for conditions such as osteoarthritis, rotator cuff tears, and tendonosis (chronic tendon damage). The medical students and residents were excited to learn about the developing research and clinical applications. Dr. Thakral and the Orthohealing Center look forward to collaborating with the University to help students and faculty learn state of the art treatments in sports medicine.
