ESPN this morning discussed
the use of PRP to accelerate the recovery time for pro bowl defensive player Troy Polamalu. Troy suffered a knee MCL tear which is a non-surgical injury that can take anywhere up to 8 weeks to heal. Hopefully with PRP he can cut the recovery process in half. PRP works quicker when there is a new injury to maximize the ongoing healing process.
