Dr. Neil Ghodadra
Dr. Neil Ghodadra is a leading expert in the field of sports medicine. He’s worked with countless professional athletes around the globe, and is known for his ability to treat a wide range of knee, shoulder, elbow and hip conditions with his minimally-invasive arthroscopic techniques. Additionally, he possesses extensive training and expertise in cartilage restoration of the knee and joint preserving osteotomies, as well as the treatment of complex shoulder conditions.
After graduating magna cum laude from Duke University with a bachelor of science in biology, Dr. Neil Ghodadra achieved his medical degree from the same institution. From there, he completed the world-renowned Sports Medicine Fellowship at Rush Medical Center, where he had the privilege of assisting the team physicians for the Chicago Bulls (NBA) and Chicago White Sox (MLB). He also served other sports teams during this time, including multiple semi-professional, university and high school teams.
A top specialist in his field with a devotion to innovation in orthopedic surgery, Dr. Ghodadra has authored over 65 textbook chapters and journal articles on a variety of topics, including cartilage restoration, shoulder instability repair, ACL repair and more. His work has been presented at more than 70 conferences around the globe, including the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, where he was honored with an award for his work in shoulder instability in athletes. In addition, he played an instrumental role in developing a landmark technique for patients with recurrent shoulder instability, and was recognized for this groundbreaking work with multiple peer reviewed publications.
